Ayn Rand's Autographs, Signatures, Signed Letters for Sale

Result Control

Ayn Rand's autographs and signed letters have always been avidly collected by fans of her philosophy and have always been quite scarce. The author of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead did not give her autograph signature to her admirers very often, neither in person nor through the mail. She didn't seem to answer letters very commonly unless the content of the letter written to her was of personal interest and then she might write a wonderful reply, but these letters are quite rare and, if found, quite expensive.

Ayn Rand and her philosophy have never been out of style and favor but they have never been more compelling for many Americans than in recent years. The growth of big government and our enormous public debt is what Atlas Shrugged is all about along with the development of a society in which the individual thinker, doer and entrepreneur is systematically demonized and isolated until they finally create their own society. John Galt is her hero in Atlas Shrugged and Howard Roark is the hero in The Fountainhead. The classic movie starring Gary Cooper as Howard Roark brought Ayn Rand's novel and popularity to the general public.

Ayn Rand's Handwritten Manuscript Notes

Ayn Rand's handwritten manuscript notes for some of her articles appeared on the market a decade or so ago. They had been owned by her secretary and friend and were quickly acquired by both institutional libraries and specialized private collectors. Ayn Rand's handwritten pages from her original manuscript of Atlas Shrugged are the Holy Grail for everyone interested in her work. The handful of pages not given by her to the Library of Congress had been saved by a friend and when available fetched prices commensurate with their importance in modern American political thought.
