Our Autograph Gallery on Madison Avenue
Our Window on Madison Avenue is much more than a view into our autograph gallery. For more than 20 years it has been a window into history displaying pieces from our historical document and autograph collection, chosen from our inventory for their particular relevance to that day’s news and events.
Madison Avenue between 76th and 77th Street has a large number of neighborhood people walking by each day, many going to the Carlyle Hotel restaurant right next to us. Very few, if any, aren’t addicted to looking in The Window to see what we have from the past that continues to show that history is the basis of our understanding and appreciation of today’s events.
We have a new catalogue of featured autograph pieces available. Please contact office@kwrendell.com if you would like us to send you a copy of our catalogue.

Today, Friday, September 03, 2010, our window on Madison Avenue features a Photograph Signed of Chester W. Nimitz and a Document Signed of Eugene O'Neill. Today in 1945, Japan formally surrendered aboard the USS Missouri, ending World War II. On this day in 1946, "The Iceman Cometh" by playwright Eugene O'Neill opened at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City. For full descriptions of these items, please click on the images below.
